THE LOVE INC MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) is to mobilize the Church to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ.

 A Short history

 Love INC of Springville, NY officially opened it's doors on March 18th, 1996 with a few volunteers and a telephone.  The clearinghouse took information and made referrals.  There were 11 partner churches at the time and Margaret Ireland was the first Program Director. 

The offices were housed in space donated by the Joylan Theatre.  This office space eventually tripled and then moved to the second floor.

In 1999, Jan Mattison, then Vice-President of the Love INC board, became Executive Director.  As the volunteer staff grew, so did the paid staff, currently at three. 

In 2005, the 10th year of Love INC's ministry to the Springville area, a new initiative called IMAGE was undertaken.  It is a program to help people see their value in the eyes of God.

In 2008, the Love INC office was asked by the constituents of the Warm the Children, Salvation Army, and Toys for Tots programs to facilitate these services in our area.

In 2009, the Love INC Board, after much prayer, purchased a permanent home for Love INC.  The building has undergone renovations and currently houses the Love INC Clearinghouse at 62 E. Main and SCENe, Fedelis Care, and community space and classroom at 64 E. Main. 

Also in 2009, Jan Mattison stepped down from her position as Executive Director and Daniel Bradley took over.

2010 brought more changes to the Love INC building and its staff.  In May Daniel Bradley accepted a position pastoring two Methodist churches in Central New York.  As of June, Wendy Cocca holds the position of Executive Director.

Love INC annually holds a Banquet and Theme Basket Auction, a Concert for Love (featuring local church talent), and a golf outing, as well as other community events.

Love INC looks forward to the future of serving Christ and the Love INC Member Churches in the greater Springville area.
