What is IMAGE? 

IMAGE is an acronym for Inspiring and Motivating Adults to Generate Esteem.

IMAGE is about transforming the future.  "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind."  Romans 12:2 (RSV)

IMAGE is:

...the next step in Relational Ministry.  Love INC will continue the ministry of partner churches through the Clearinghouse.  The office will continue to take calls, make referrals and organize ongoing programs.  The IMAGE program is a personal connection between church volunteers and those in need.

...a biblically based program designed to help individuals see themselves as God sees them.  Using a series of 12 classes, people learn about themselves, about loving others and about living a Godly life.  "Love the Lord with all your heart." Matthew 22:37

...a ministry of Love INC Partner Churches.  The program is staffed by volunteers from the partner churches, and involves the local community whenever possible.  By recognizing the power of God's love and using the God-given talents of church members, IMAGE can make a difference

...a motivator to help people change.  Through teaching, prayer and incentives provided by individuals and businesses, participants in the IMAGE program are encouraged to experience transformation and God's healing power in their lives.

...a transformation that lasts.  Paul wrote in the letter to the Ephesians "...be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God..."  IMAGE is a new way to live in the likeness of God.

 Ways that you can help.

  There are many ways that you can help the IMAGE program be a success.  Volunteers are needed to:

• Love and serve the Lord.
• Teach classes.
• Be a coach and be present with those taking the classes.
• Provide childcare and help with homework.
• Help make the class space a welcoming environment and provide refreshments.
• Provide incentives for the program.

 
About Incentives...                                                                                                   Integral to the IMAGE program are points earned by participants that are redeemed for incentives.  Incentives can be small or large, but are to help and support participants in their day to day lives.  They might include:

•  Vouchers for services such as hair cuts, the laundromat, oil changes, one-time professional consulting.
• Gas cards
• Diapers and formula
• Tickets for events
  
• Gift certificates to restaurants
• Cleaning supplies
• Food items
• Clothing
• Household goods
